Jessica Recalls Being Called A Slut In Her Childhood

Every child has his or her best and worst moments. Abd Jessica Alba is no exception to childhood trauma. She recalls being subject to lot of disgrace from her seniors and elders.
In a new book of essays called If I’d Known Then, Alba opens up about being labeled a sixth-grade slut by her elementary school principal and a couple of “self-righteous” PTA moms. “The accusation still ricochets … They think I’m a slut?” she writes.

Alba, 26, who first kissed a boy as a 7-year-old “so he would pick me for our neighborhood baseball team” admits that teen males can be a real handful. “Boys are awful. They are made of nothing but hormones until they’re about 20 or 21,” she writes. “It’s fun to have a crush, but don’t think it’s forever.”

Nicole Richie Broadway-Bound?

According to Us Weekly, producers offered Nicole Richie the role of Roxie Hart in a Broadway production of Chicago. The new mom is reportedly undecided, but interested and talking it over with baby-daddy Joel Madden.

“She’s definitely interested and weighing it out with the timing of the baby,” a Richie pal tells Us. “It is in the super early stages of discussions and no decision has been made yet.”

“It would give her a reason to really show her talent and to stay in the new place in NY Joel just got,” the source says. “It also shows people are really excited about Nicole right now.”

Whatever Richie’s decision, this year will be big for the new mom. “She is also weighing some other amazing offers but 2008 is going to be really exciting for her,” the source says. “She just working it all out and keeping Harlow in mind with everything she does, of course!”

Shouldn’t this role be offered to someone who can sing? I thought that was a prerequisite to performing on Broadway.

Lindsay Lohan Steals Popeyes Thunder

In March issue of Paper Magazine, Lindsay Lohan stole a page from Popeye’s playbook and declared, “I am what I am.” Oh, ok. Lindsay went on to discuss her legal and personal problems in 2007, blaming her drunk driving and rehab trips on a busy schedule. Oh, ok.

“I had a lot going on in my life and that was a way of hiding from it,” she explains. “I hadn’t seen my dad; I had a lot of work stress ’cause I was constantly working and never took time to stop.”

“Everything was go-go-go, and the easiest thing was to run away from it, going out and drinking at night,” she says. “You know, you don’t have to think when you let go sometimes.”

She adds, “But I didn’t realize it was getting in the way of my work, what I’ve worked for my whole life.”

That changed: “There’s not really much else to do when you’re sitting in a treatment center. It’s like, ‘Why am I here? Let’s think,’ ” she concedes.

Lindsay claimed getting back to work will help her stay clean, but unfortch, she has not landed any roles lately.

“I was so used to working and working and working, and for a good few months there was nothing for me to do. Now I know what it’s like to be an out-of-work actor, and how much it scares me.”

Despite the down period, Lindsay said she believes she may have found the right role: a biopic about Clara Bow.

“I definitely relate to a lot of the things that she went through,” says Lohan. “Not with her family, but the trials and tribulations of Hollywood, to an extent.”

Well, Lindsay, cross your fingers that the Clara Bow role won’t go to Sienna Miller, just like all the other movies you’ve audition for lately.

Britney Sees the Kiddos Again

Britney Spears was allowed to see her children for a few hours on Wednesday. This was the third visitation as part of an agreement reached by Kevin Federline’s attorneys and Britney’s father Jamie on February 22.

Preston, 2, and Jayden, 17 months, spent more time at their mother’s house on Wednesday morning.

Spears’s recent visits with her boys have been full of hugs and affection, People reports in its new issue (on newsstands Friday). “Kids this age are amazingly resilient, and the very close bond that Britney has with her children is apparent,” a source tells People.

On Saturday, Spears reunited with her sons for the first time since she was hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Jan. 3. She also had another visit with them Monday.

The visits are considered “therapeutic,” due to the fact that a psychiatrist monitors Britney and the boys. The psychiatrist, Dr. Lee Sadja, has treated Britney since her most recent hospitalization at the UCLA Medical Center psych ward.

Amy Winehouse Goes Back on the Pipe?

Sources close to Amy Winehouse claimed the singer recently started using drugs again. Although Amy is currently in a out-patient rehab program, friends said she is “getting back to her worst.”

A friend said: “Amy’s in an awful state again,  she’s clearly on drugs. Many of us think full-time residential rehab is the only option but she won’t go back.”

“She was smoking cannabis and drinking heavily as soon as she left rehab. That has now increased. Everyone who’s seen her in the last week or so has been really disturbed by the state she’s in. She’s getting back to her worst.

“It was hoped her new album and fashion range would keep her focused but it hasn’t worked.”

In what might be a positive move, Amy reportedly decided to give up her London home and relocate to the countryside. Amy is looking at homes in the Buckinghamshire area, which I’m guessing is a relatively crack-free location.
