Kimberly Katherine Smith (born March 3, 1983 in Houston, Texas) is an American actress/fashion model. She has appeared in the film Catwoman with Halle Berry, and has modeled for Victoria’s Secret and Guess?.

Smith, a graduate of Permian High School in Odessa, Texas, got her big break into modeling when she accompanied a friend to a Model Search of America contest. She was changed from a spectator to a competitor by the head of the contest, and soon after signed with Clipse Management of Dallas. Her face and figure have been featured for Victoria’s Secret, Mac and Jac, Abercrombie & Fitch, Harper’s Bazaar, and Andrew Marc. Her big break came in the form of two of Paul Marciano’s Guess? campaigns in 2000.Smith has also appeared in several music videos, including *NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye” and “It’s Gonna Be Me,” Maroon 5’s “Wake Up Call,” and Aerosmith’s “Girls of Summer.” She entered the movie business in 2002 with a cameo in Van Wilder as comely coed Casey, and followed with a small role in 2004’s Catwoman as model Drina.

The July 2005 issue of Maxim magazine, which Smith appeared in was dedicated to American troops serving overseas and featured Kim posing with militaria including dog tags and a camouflage hat; the article and pictures are featured in the Girls of Maxim Gallery. The publication named her #91 in its 2006 Hot 100 List.It was announced that Smith would become the new face of the Italian swimsuit designer Parah and an official spokesperson for the Italian watchmaker Breil in 2006.

In 2007, Smith played a recurring role in the television series Friday Night Lights, which was preceded by a film of the same name about the real-life football team of Smith’s old high school, Permian.

Kirsty Jane Gallacher (born January 20, 1976, Edinburgh) is a Scottish television presenter. She began her television career as a presenter on Sky Sports News.

The daughter of the former Ryder Cup captain Bernard Gallacher, she graduated from the London College of Fashion, and began work as a production assistant before moving on to the position of editorial assistant on Sky Sports.She got her presenting break on Sky Sports News, and since then has been associated with many other sports shows such as 90 Minutes, Soccer Extra, Kirsty and Phil (on BBC Radio Five) and Soccer AM.

Good hearted Ellen Degeneres tried to hold back tears on her talk show on Wednesday when model Jenny McCarthy told her a fish tale about her autistic son Evan. McCarthy told the host she was stunned when her boy likened himself to DeGeneres’ Finding Nemo character Dory during a car trip.The former Playboy model said, “Evan has come such a long way. That kid has come such a long way to get to where he is.”He said, ‘Mom, you know I used to be a lot like Dory.’ I literally pulled over and looked and turned around and I started crying, because of what he meant.”He said, ‘Dory had a really hard time remembering her words and I couldn’t remember them…’ We sat on the side of the road for about 15 minutes while I cried.”He said, ‘I’m not like Dory anymore, I can remember.’” DeGeneres was touched by the story, telling her guest, “I’m gonna cry right now… That’s incredible.” DeGeneres then offered to call McCarthy’s son as his favorite cartoon character.

Was Sonny Bono’s death a hit?

Out of all the conspiracy theories in the world, I never thought that Sonny Bono’s untimely death would be one of them. An ex-FBI private investigator think he was beaten death before he hit a tree while skiing according to AdelaideNow.

“It’s nonsense for anyone to now try to suggest that Bono died after crashing into a tree. There’s zero evidence in this autopsy report… to show such an accident happened. Instead, there’s powerful proof he was assassinated.”This was an evil plot that was carried out to almost perfection by ruthless assassins,” Mr Gunderson told the paper.

The former agent, who has been researching Bono’s accident for the past decade, said top officials linked to an international drug and weapons ring feared the singer-turned-politician was about to expose their crimes - so they had him killed on the slopes.

Bono, an experienced skiier, was ambushed on the slopes by hired hitmen, who beat him to death and then staged a tree collision, Mr Gunderson said.

He called for authorities to dig up Bono’s remains and open a homicide investigation.

His claims have reportedly been backed by top forensics experts who fear Nevada authorities were too quick to call the death a skiing accident.

Investigator Bob Fletcher had also confessed he sent evidence of a 10-year study that linked top US government officials to arms and weapons dealers to Bono less than a month before his death, the Globe reported.

“(Bono) was going to make it his No.1 priority… There’s no doubt in my mind Sonny was murdered by someone who needed him silenced,” Mr Fletcher told the paper

Wow, this guy needs a life. What is the point of bringing this all up again because you know it is going to be proven that Sonny Bono’s unfortunate death was due to accidentally hitting a tree.

George Clooney in feud with writers union

George Clooney has quietly withdrawn from the Writers Guild of America after the union rejected his request for a writing credit on his new film “Leatherheads,” Daily Variety reported in its Friday edition.

Clooney opted to become a “financial core status” nonmember last fall, which means that he is still covered by the basic contract, the trade paper said.

But he loses his voting rights, and cannot run for office or attend membership meetings, according to the WGA’s constitution. He must continue to pay his dues, but gets a break on “non-germane” WGA activities, such as political and lobbying efforts. His decision is also irrevocable.

Clooney, 46, directed, produced and stars in “Leatherheads,” a screwball period football comedy that opens across North America on Friday via General Electric Co’s Universal Pictures. Despite mixed reviews, it is expected to be the top draw at the weekend box office.

He had sought to receive a writing credit alongside Duncan Brantley and Rick Reilly, claiming that he personally gave the duo’s languishing 17-year old project a major overhaul.

Clooney, who received an Oscar nomination two years ago for co-writing “Good Night, and Good Luck,” told Daily Variety that he felt he had written all but two of the scenes for “Leatherheads.” His request for credit was voted down 2-1 at an arbitration hearing.

“When your own union doesn’t back what you’ve done, the only honorable thing to do is not participate,” the paper quoted Clooney as saying.

He said he would have resigned from the union altogether — a revocable move — but that would have prevented him from working on all WGA-covered productions. He kept quiet about his move, because the union was about to go on strike for the first time in almost two decades, and he did not want to provide an unwelcome distraction. Clooney was a keen supporter of the 100-day strike, which ended almost two months ago.

The WGA did not comment for the Daily Variety story, and a union spokesman did not immediately reply to an e-mail seeking verification of the report.

The photos that first revealed a friendship between Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham left people scratching their heads at what the two could possibly have in common. If, two years later, the answer still isn’t clear, look no further than the current issue of Life & Style, which claims the friends share an affinity for splitting low-calorie meals meant for one.

The magazine reports that during a recent outing to Madeo, the duo shared a green salad sans dressing, one piece of fish and one side of steamed spinach. They also ordered one regular Coke and two glasses of ice.

“Katie poured half the soda into each of their glasses, then filled up the rest with bottled water,” a Madeo regular told the magazine.
